Biothane dog lead in waterproof vegan pink leather

Biothane is a vegan equivalent to leather. We use the original American Biothane, which is PVC coated polyester webbing. It is famously strong & very well tested. We held off making a Biothane collection for a long time because we were reluctant to use a man made material, but we have done a lot of research and spoken to environmental scientists about the impact of Biothane. The conclusions have been that Biothane has the same environmental impact to manufacture as leather. However leather biodegrades and breaks down, Biothane does not. The fact that Biothane is resistant to so many things that will break leather down meand that it is an environmentlaly sound material to use as it is so long lasting. It is NOT a single use plastic. Biothane is extremely hard wearing, weatherproof, waterproof, frostproof and does not absorb odours. Wipe it clean & it looks brand new in seconds. I’ve even put it in the washing machine, though that is not recommended. A Biothane lead should last as long as a leather lead.

The lead is riveted together and has an “O” ring at the handle to clip on a treats pouch or poo bag holder.

We have tried and tested this lead for months & it still looks brand new. Trust us, we have been trying to destroy it and so far not even a scratch. This is why professional dog walkers love these leads so much.

No more nasty smelly, dirty collars. Biothane is so easy to clean - you just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Using a bit of ecover, washing up liquid or cleaning fluid if needed.
Can also be machine washed but the metalware may damage your washing machine and this may also reduce the longevity of your collar. Stick to wiping down if you can.
Will not absorb odours, get soggy or disgusting.

Biothane is a pretty amazing material - waterproof, frostproof, weatherproof, resistant to odours, wipe clean, stong, durable and tough. It is not chew proof, but not many things really are. It's a material that is truly made with dogs in mind.
